Located in Phoenix, our firm specializes in diverse project types including Commercial, Higher Education, Historic Preservation, and Public/Civic sectors. We are seeking a talented Senior Architectural Designer to contribute to our dynamic and innovative team.

Position Summary: As a Senior Architectural Designer, you will play a key role in conceptualizing and developing architectural designs for various projects. Working closely with project teams and clients, you will uphold our firm’s reputation for design excellence while integrating sustainable design principles into every aspect of our work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project architects and design teams to develop conceptual designs, presentations, and design solutions for projects across diverse sectors.
  • Lead the development of detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and materials selections.
  • Conduct research and analysis related to project requirements, site conditions, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and gather feedback.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the construction phase.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff members, providing support and fostering their professional growth.
  • Maintain a strong focus on sustainable design practices, integrating environmentally responsible solutions into project designs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies relevant to architectural design.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in architectural design.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design expertise across diverse project types, including Commercial, Higher Education, Historic Preservation, and Public/Civic sectors.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
  • Excellent understanding of construction methods, building codes, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading design teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for sustainable design practices and familiarity with LEED principles preferred.
